Gales with storm force gusts and blustery showers ease during the evening, remaining breezy overnight. Another developing low then sends further showers, gales and gusts to storm force on Saturday. A storm warning and severe weather watch has now been issued for sustained winds near 50kts with higher gusts possible for Saturday evening into early Sunday. Increasingly hazardous long period southwesterly swell develops over the weekend.
